Rules & Etiquette

A few guidelines that keep our studio safe, respectful, and running smoothly.

  1. 1

Dancers are expected to be respectful and courteous toward all instructors, staff, guests, and fellow dancers.

  2. 2

Out of respect for the class, please do not interrupt to speak with your child's teacher. Make an appointment through the office at sdi2019office@gmail.com or studiodance@comcast.net.

  3. 3

Dancers are expected to respect studio property, inside and out, including the studios, lobby, boutique, parking lot, and exterior.

  4. 4

Dancers should arrive on time and attend regularly. Please notify the teacher ahead of time if your dancer will be late or absent.

  5. 5

Dancers must wear dance-appropriate attire with hair pulled back and out of the face. Ask each teacher what is appropriate for their class.

  6. 6

Dancers should use the bathroom before class. Leaving disrupts the class and may mean missing valuable warm-ups or combinations.

  7. 7

No gum, food, or drinks other than water inside the studios. Snacks and drinks are allowed in the lobby and dressing rooms, but please dispose of all trash.

  8. 8

Tuition is due the 1st of each month; if not paid by the 5th, the card on file will be charged. No refunds for missed classes (make them up in a class of similar age/ability). A $25 non-refundable registration fee per student per year is required. A $20 fee applies to all NSF and closed-account checks.

  9. 9

Inclement weather: classes may be canceled for snow or ice and made up during the same month. Check the SDI website and Facebook page for closings.

  10. 10

SDI follows the Paulding County School District schedule, closing for Labor Day; Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas breaks; MLK Day; and Winter and Spring breaks.
